Rainforest Action Network: Frontlines Forest Defenders

The fires raging from the Amazon to Indonesia have been absolutely devastating to frontline and Indigenous communities -- especially during a global pandemic. We want you to hear first-hand what’s happening on the ground as rainforests are being intentionally set on fire for profit:

Join us for a webinar and rally next Monday, August 31st to hear from the frontlines and take action in solidarity with the movement to protect Frontlines Forest Defenders everywhere!

August 31st at 8PM ET / 5 PM PT / 7 AM WIB

You can’t travel to the Amazon or Indonesia, but you can meet the Forest Defenders fighting to protect them from corporate destruction. And you can help them put out the fires.

Lands traditionally owned by forest protectors and Indigenous people hold 80% of the world’s biodiversity, despite only being 5% of the world’s population. And the brands and banks most responsible for starting rainforest fires in the first place are trying to shift the blame onto the people most impacted by their atrocities.

We won’t let them get away with it: We’re coming together to stop the big business of burning!

We demand justice for Indigenous peoples and a STOP to the destruction of sacred lands from the Amazon to Indonesia. I hope I’ll see you Monday, Arnulf.
